JOY!! JOY!! AT JOY FM’S ANNUAL OLD SKUUL REUNINON

Euphoria, joy, delight, jubilation, excitement, glee, hilarity and many more, are words that can be used to describe the experience and atmosphere that lingered the thousands who made it to the premises of the Accra International Trade Fair Site, La during Joy Fm’s annual old school Reunion 2009.

This year’s package of the old students Reunion which was filled with splendour at site was a great scene to behold as it was heavily crowded by sponsors of the event.

Fervour and zeal displayed on the path of individuals who readily represented their Alma mater  with accessories ranging from school uniforms, flyers, neck ties, banners and school traditional clothing’s and  the most of all, with anything they can lay their hands on to leave an antecedent for posterity.

The heat of the occasion was turned on as students across the regions of Ghana with the famous Casford hall of UCC, Commonwealth, UG, Zulu Accra Polytechnic and Katanga hall KNUST and many proved their wealth and creativity through the singing of locally formulated tunes referred to as ‘Jama’ in the students fraternity along with their own adapted instruments to pump up the school-based performances.

There were also those who pitched their strengths at activities such as five-aside football, basketball, 50-metre sprints, table tennis, pool, chess, tug-of-peace, music and dance and eating competitions to finally settle any contention amongst them if they were any?.

Certainly, the true old boys were not left out as students from the 50’s till now danced to various categories of highlife tunes performed by master mix band which sent the thousands gathered to shake off and display a few tricks with their steps and body movements to suit melodious tunes of famous Ghanaian highlife artists and other artists who graced the stage.

The occasion would not have reached its climax of excitement and joy without the splendid performances from hiplife artists such as the ‘abodam’ man Kwawkese, Edem of last two, Ghana’s fastest rapper Sakodia, Obrafour,
Kontihene, X-Doe and the many, who graced the stage of the annual Joy fm Old skuul Reunion with Joy fm’s favourite DJ’s Nii Aryi Tagoe and DJ Black who dished out some beautiful tunes to the thousands of patrons gathered from all sphere of life.

To confirm what the eyes has seen, the week planner bird solicited views from some participants  present and we realised the thrills and exhilaration of the thousands who conveyed at the Trade Fair Site were enthused and  delighted whiles awaiting another voyage into the past come next year.

We say thumbs up to Joy fm and all who supported this bright initiative.
